The Cypress Creek High School volleyball team hosted a Dig Pink game on Oct. 2 with visiting Cypress Springs High School.
CFISD volleyball teams joined the national movement to battle breast cancer by participating in The Side-Out Foundation’s Dig Pink events throughout the month of October.

The foundation’s Dig Pink Rally brings together volleyball players across the nation to raise funds for breast cancer research, while demonstrating the power of teamwork and showing support for people with the disease.
Funds raised go directly to cutting-edge clinical trials at renowned medical institutions.
Cypress Creek High School hosted the first CFISD event of the month on Oct. 2 for a home match against Cypress Springs High School. The volleyball players presented information on large banners in the gym during the game, listing facts and encouraging monthly self-check exams and annual mammograms.
Several other schools held their events on Oct. 13:
  • Cypress Springs and Cy-Fair played a Dig Pink game at Cypress Springs, raising $467 for the Side-Out Foundation;
  • Cypress Lakes and Cypress Woods collected donations at the ticket table for pink paper volleyballs that decorated the Cypress Lakes gym. The teams raised $175 for Susan G. Komen;
