| Ms. Troquet kisses a goat to raise money for leukemia patients |
The HOSA members participated in a fundraiser for raise money for Pennies
for Patients, a service learning, character education and philanthropy
program that gives students a unique experience by making a difference through
teamwork—working together to aid thousands of children and adults in the fight
against blood cancers like leukemia. All proceeds benefit the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society. Through collections and the Goat Kissing event, the students
raised approx $700.00. HOSA members Hosa members participated by
collecting funds through collection boxes, collecting funds during
lunches, coordinating a teacher goat kissing event, and promoting
the fundraiser throughout the school.
