GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD FINISH IN TOP 5 AT CRUSADER RELAYS

The Cy-Creek Girls Track and Field team competed at the Crusader Relays this Saturday hosted by Strake Jesuit High School. The girls team scored 83.25 points and finished in the Top 5 out of 20 teams. 

 

First Place Finishers: 

• Morgan Michals in the 1600m in a time of 5:13.93

Second Place Finishers:

• Teressia Grant-Corsey in the 100m Dash in a time of 12.80
• Cierra Gordon in the Shot Put with a throw of 34'7".

Third Place Finishers:

• Kristina Ricks in the 200m Dash in a time of 26.04
• Darrian Johnson in the 400m Dash in a time of 59.78
• Shannon Dalene in the High Jump with a jump of 4'10."

 Fourth Place Finishers:

• Chimna Orji in the Shot Put with a throw of 31'6.5."
• 4x1600m Relay (Melissa Weimar, Naomi Garcia, Fatima Mancia, and Katie Deakins)
• 4x100m Relay (Teressia Grant-Corsey, Kristina Ricks, Alexis Woodard, and I'Taunna Anderson)
•  4x200m Relay (Teressia Grant-Corsey, Jemia Goree, Alexis Woodard, and I'Taunna Anderson)

Fifth Place Finishers:

• Teressia Grant-Corsey in the Long Jump with a jump of 16'-11."
• Morgan Michals in the 3200m.
• Cierra Gordon in the Discus Throw.
• Katie Walter in the 100m Hurdles in a Life Time Best of 15.81
• Katie Walter in the 300 Hurdles with a time of 48.25. 

Sixth Place Finishers

• Shenoah White in the High Jump.  
• Distance Medley Relay (Naomi Garcia, Tiffany Pierre, Katie Deakins, and Melissa Weimar)

 Other athletes competing were:

• Megan DeRouen- 3200m and 1600m
• Brittany Thomas 100m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles
• Diana Molina- Shot Put and Discus
• Ayriah Barr- Discus
• Kaytie Lee- 3200m Run and 1600m Run 

 

Varsity will compete this weekend at Walter Heintschel Relays at Crump Stadium in Houston, Texas. Junior Varsity will compete here at Cypress Creek High School on Thursday March 3rd at 3:15 p.m. Information for both meets will be sent you today. We are looking forward to another exciting week of competition.
