CFISD boys’ and girls’ track and field athletes qualified for the area track and field meet after placing in the top four of their respective events at the District 17-6A Championships, held April 13-15 at Cypress Ranch High School.
In the boys’ competition, Cypress Falls High School placed first with 130 points, followed by second-place Langham Creek High School (110) and third-place Cypress Woods High School (88).
Cypress Springs High School won the girls’ competition with 115 points, followed by second-place Cy-Fair High School (82) and third-place Cypress Woods (68).
The top four individuals in each event from both District 17-6A and District 18-6A will compete in the area meet, scheduled for April 24 at Cypress Falls High School. The top four finishers from each event at the area meet will advance to the Region III-6A Championships, set for May 1-2 at Turner Stadium in Humble.
