Speech and Debate Team Members Qualify for Nationals

Over the last month, the Cy-Creek Speech & Debate Team has competed at 2 separate competitions to qualify students for the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) National Tournament to be held in Dallas this June.  Students qualify by competing at districts against 30+ other schools. Cy-Creek now has the following national qualifiers:

District Champions: 

• Congressional Debate (House): Daniel Lehmann
• Humorous Interpretation: Thomas Linden
• Original Oratory: Avneet Randhawa

2nd Place: 

• Congressional Debate (Senate): Harland Ashby

3rd Place: 

• Congressional Debate (House): Colin Price

In addition, Cy-Creek won the District Congressional Debate Team award this past Thursday.
